Catherine McMaster is a London-based writer, editor, stylist and content creator. Catherine’s beat is travel, culture and fashion, and this is epitomized in long form features, opinion pieces, news grabs and videos

Catherine is the Editor at luxury publishing house, FMS Global Media. In her role as Editor at FMS, Catherine is the editor of two magazines, Sunseeker Magazine and Gaggenau. Both are brand-led but editorially oriented and Catherine oversees all creative and editorial direction within these magazines. Additionally, Catherine McMaster is the lead creative and editorial Director of all Sunseeker and Gaggenau videos. As the producer, journalist and creative lead, Catherine has organised shoots in Wales, London, Portugal, Mallorca, France and Germany. Here, Catherine was in charge with storyboarding the content, commissioning the talent and interviewing the sources. Catherine was also the editor of Unique Magazine, Quinta Do Lago’s in-house annual magazine. 
Catherine is also a regular contributor to The Sun and regularly writes for Fabulous magazine. Other publications include The Australian, Vice, The Sun,, Harper’s Bazaar, Westminster World, Gaggenau, Madurai Messenger, Sunseeker, Luxury Briefing, Unique and Quintessentially. 
Catherine is from the Central Coast, Australia and worked in Australian broadcasting before relocating to London to study a master’s in journalism at the University of Westmintser. Catherine was awarded a scholarship at Westminster and subsequently was the culture editor for the student newspaper, Westminster World. Catherine regularly returns to the university to present talks on travel journalism. 
In Australia, Catherine was the Arts and Cultural Content Producer for Bondi Beach Radio and worked for Australia’s Nine Entertainment Co. as a television news reporter.
Catherine has worked and lived in various places around the world. She reported in the depths of the Ooty Mountains of India, lived with the Todas tribe, and wrote an investigative feature: changing lifestyle of an ancient tribe. This article is currently featured in New Delhi as part of an exhibition on the Todas people.
In 2014, Catherine spent two weeks trekking in Japan, writing quirky and interesting anecdotes about Japanese youth culture for a variety of different Sydney newspapers. Wherever Catherine’s travels take her, she always has a notebook and camera in hand.
Catherine developed Snapshot from Somewhere in 2017. After travelling around the world, writing and reporting from far-flung places, Catherine took the opportunity to collate her writings and self-publish them on this platform. Catherine loves to write and has a nose for a good story, and this platform is a testament to it.
